I started out developing a declarative UI framework named TOIX for creating highly performant user interface for set-top boxes using Javscript. This framework is still beeing used in STBs today.
Using TOIX I was responsible for developing the UIs used to demonstrate the capabilities of the Motorola KreaTV STBs. Each year we shipped demos to IBC(Amsterdam), CES(Las Vegas) and 3GSM(Barcelona). At many of these tradeshow I also worked as a booth staff.
To show off the capabilities of the STBs, we developed a lots of demo together with external partners such as YouTube, Shoutcast, Flickr and Pandora. I was responsible of working out the agreements with these companies.
At the end of my term at Motorola I initiated the adoption of SVG as a rendering engine for STB UI graphics.
