• As a consultancy, Highgroove Studios helped companies of all sizes to
• build and maintain web applications, primarily written in Ruby on Rails.
• I worked for a single, large client during my tenure at Highgroove. Their
• application was built on Rails and served a JSON API to both web and mobile
• clients, acting as the backend that powered scheduling, support,
• documentation, training, and more for all of the client's retail locations.

• Rails Machine offered managed hosting and consulting services to clients
• with a focus towards applications built with Ruby on Rails. Responsibilities
• for engineers included procurement and installation of hardware within
• colocated datacenters, incident response for customer applications, and
• providing managed services to customers on both an hourly and long-term
• project basis. Customer applications were deployed and managed primarily
• via an open source tool on top of Puppet, called Moonshine.
