Dimpy Agrawal — Co-Founder
I’m a film producer and the founder of Gubbara Entertainment, a Mumbai-based production house dedicated to emotionally resonant, socially rooted, and bold storytelling. Be it feature length or branded content, everything is covered. After spending nearly a decade at companies like Netflix India, Dharma Productions, and Phantom Films and working on projects like The Archies, Khufiya, Sacred Games, Bhavesh Joshi and more — I launched Gubbara in 2023 with nothing but a strong sense of purpose and a deep love for stories that make people feel. Gubbara was built to be a safe space — for creators, for collaboration, and for stories that are emotionally engaging yet entertaining. In 2024, we raised a $1M script development fund to support original South Asian voices, partnered with institutions like Unilever for branded content and Azim Premji Foundation for a slate of socially relevant films, premiered our debut short film Chashma (Blind Spot) at festivals. Our slate includes intimate dramas, psychological horror, and grounded fantasy — stories with heart, identity, and cultural complexity. Through all the unknowns, I’ve stayed anchored to my why: to build something with integrity, empathy, and creative courage. If you’re a filmmaker, funder, or collaborator who believes in stories with impact, I’d love to connect.
