Raj Cherabuddi is a seasoned executive who is experienced in both the startup and corporate worlds. Cherabuddi co-founded Kickfire, a Silicon Valley based startup that specialized in building an In-Memory Analytics Platform employing an innovative hardware based dataflow technology and a modern column store database, in year 2006 and served as its CEO for over two years and as its President for nearly four years until it was acquired by Teradata in year 2010. At Teradata, he held various strategic and operational executive level roles for about eight years. Following his tenure at Teradata, he took on executive positions in companies that are focused on building SaaS applications using state-of-the-art Cloud technologies. This includes OakNorth, a FinTech start-up specialized in the Intelligent Lending space, and Salesforce, the world’s leader with its CRM and Service Cloud offerings. Prior to Kickfire, Cherabuddi was the founding CEO of Sanera Systems, a Bay Area startup that focused on mission-critical, high-performance SAN switches. Sanera was successfully acquired, in year 2003, by McDATA Corporation, a public company with about $800M in annual revenues and is now part of Broadcom Corporation. Sanera’s nSCALE technology powered Intrepid 10,000 product won multiple industry awards and is at the core of thousands of data centers worldwide. At McDATA, Cherabuddi served as the corporate CTO for nearly two years, where he advised on strategy and was responsible for future technologies. Before co-founding Sanera Systems, he served as lead architect for Sun's UltraSPARC IIIi processor. He also worked for Intel Corporation as a micro-architect in the Processor Group. During his early career he developed and was issued patents for 27 inventions. Cherabuddi earned a B.S degree in E.C.E. from College of Engineering, Osmania University and an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Arizona State University.
