• Research Topic: Psycholexical Personality Assessment based on Indian Culture & Diversity.
• The most recent and widely accepted Big Five Personality models have been developed and applied in many cultures. Typically, Indian researchers are recipients of the theories and instruments based on them. Among the two broad traditions, Psycholexical and Psychometrics, the former has been used in all European cultures. Unfortunately, there has been little work carried out in India despite the cultural and linguistic diversity. The research collaboration proposed to use the Psycholexical paradigm to bridge in this gap. Given the fact that it was a bottom up approach, it could have lead to a completely new understanding of personality with respect to culture.
