Robotics Engineer - Localization and Perception

Offshore Windfarm Installation Project – Saipem S7000 (France):
1. Developed a full‐stack software in ROS2 (Python, C++) for precision guidance and monitoring during
offshore monopile installation.
2. Implemented real time sensor fusion, coordinate frame transformations, and nonlinear optimization
algorithms to deliver accurate alignment and positioning. The network integrated 40+ serial sensors
including GNSS(RTK), precision IMUs, AHRS, Altimeters, LVDTs, and Multiplexers.
3. Achieved windmill installation within <1.5° verticality and <15 cm center alignment tolerance limit,
supporting offshore construction operation off the coast of France with 60+ Windmills.
Computer vision and 3D Reconstruction:
4. Built a LiDAR‐IMU‐Camera Sensor fusion pipeline for accurate tilt calculation (<0.5 deg) of offshore
monopile structure in a dynamic motion environment.
5. Implemented a Dynamic Coverage Path Planning algorithm integrating a stereo camera and INS based
Visual SLAM pipeline to quantify coverage and enable real time dense 3D reconstruction of subsea
structures during underwater ROV survey operations.
6. Developed 3D segmentation pipeline, fusing LiDAR and Image sensor point clouds used to remotely determine verticality and heading of the tubular structure during offshore installation.
