Saloni Gupta — Associate Consultant
Microbes are among the oldest living organisms on Earth, and harbor an immense and largely unexplored potential. I’m fascinated by how these microscopic systems can hold solutions to some of humanity’s most pressing scientific and environmental challenges, and that curiosity drives my research interests. My PhD research focuses on harnessing microbes to produce new-to-nature biomolecules. I integrate approaches from metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, biocatalysis, and systems biology to design and optimize microbial systems for novel chemical transformations.
