Saurav Kumar — Backend Engineer
Right now, I’m building platforms that enable AI agents to take real-world actions across systems. At AWS, I work on services that allow agents to securely interact with hundreds of peer agents, MCP tools and OpenAPIs, powering real-world actions and workflows at scale. Over the last 8 years, I’ve focused on building backend systems and distributed platforms that handle high throughput, complex workflows, and production-grade reliability. A few things I’ve worked on: • Built systems handling billions of Amazon ads events and contributing to $60B+ revenue at Amazon Ads • Built cloud-native platforms from scratch and scaled across multiple regions • Led the re-architecture of the Amazon Ads onboarding platform, reducing onboarding time from 6 weeks to 1 week and enabling 50+ new business integrations within 6 months. Lately, I’ve been focusing on agentic AI — building systems where software can reason, integrate, and act across multiple services securely. I’m particularly interested in: • Distributed systems at scale • Developer platforms and integrations • AI infrastructure and agent platforms Always open to connecting with people solving large-scale customer problems or building platforms in the AI and infrastructure space.
