• Worked on a diverse set of challenging problems at scale.
• Worked on making HBase a reliable, zero-data loss store and help out a number of use cases to leverage HBase such as Facebook Messages, Search Indexing, Hive, a generic Key Value Store, etc.
• Built Cassandra along with some folks for Facebook Inbox Search. Worked on internationalizing the search index for Facebook so that searches in foreign languages would work.
• Looked into improving the end to end performance of search (including rendering on the browser), and helped improve time to user interaction quite a bit.

• Design and implement software for ERP and CRM online, implementing Software as a service.

• Design and implement wireless features and components for Windows Vista – predominantly wireless security, extensibility and user interface. Keep abreast of the current developments in the wireless space, define scenarios around them and prototype the same.

• Design, develop and maintain three tier client-server systems for large-scale inventory management, and also for real time database reporting. The middle-tier server(developed in C++ on an AIX system) connects to the backend (an Oracle database or an XML data store), and services requests from the client application (developed in Java) which runs as a standalone application or an applet.
