• Led the Order Management (OMS) and Warehouse Management (WMS) engineering teams through a phase of rapid scale and rising enterprise expectations. Conceived and incubated UniReco — Unicommerce's reconciliation product — alongside multiple new platform capabilities that expanded the company's product surface area.
• What I owned:
• Reliability & operational excellence: Established proactive alerting and incident-response processes across OMS and WMS, with quarterly SLAs governing defect resolution, time-to-detect, time-to-recover, and P0 RCA turnaround. Set the engineering rhythm that brought predictability to on-call and outage management.
• Performance & availability: Held latency and availability baselines (sub-100ms p50, 99.9% availability) while introducing a stricter availability definition and modernized tracking. Drove API latency and failure-rate improvements through targeted optimization cycles.
• Planning & delivery discipline: Built a quarterly planning cadence with measurable estimate-vs-actual deviation targets, progressively tightening from quarter to quarter. Ensured 90%+ hard-commitment delivery on business-critical milestones, including new product launches.
• Cost ownership: Owned annual people and infrastructure cost targets with quarterly tracking — driving cost-aware architecture and capacity decisions across the platform.
• Compliance & data privacy: Led the engineering implementation of India's DPDP Act across OMS and WMS — gating PII access behind admin permissions, enforcing encryption at rest, and masking sensitive data across APIs and web integrations.
• Platform hygiene: Drove a sustained "hygiene" workstream addressing latency hotspots, lock contention, and observability gaps — including a Kibana setup that materially improved debuggability for the engineering team.

• Created and ramped up the Order Management (OMS) team from the ground up, scaling it to meet rising customer demand and enterprise SLAs. Owned several ambiguous, cross-cutting initiatives — including the reduction of unfulfillable orders and real-time inventory sync — that required deep collaboration with product, operations, and customer teams.
• Beyond people and delivery, stayed close to the system: introduced Kibana-based observability to surface performance bottlenecks and launched a dedicated stream focused on improving overall system efficiency.

• MySQL data archival: Architected and executed the archival strategy for high-volume historical data, reclaiming significant database headroom and improving query performance on hot tables.
• Cost-optimized observability stack: Built an observability layer that enabled dynamic server provisioning based on real-time API QPS — reducing CPU usage by ~50% and meaningfully cutting infrastructure cost.
• Performance optimization: Drove targeted code-level improvements that reduced memory footprint and CPU utilization across hot paths in the OMS.

• Joined Unicommerce — India's largest multi-channel SaaS order fulfillment and inventory management platform — early in its scaling journey, working directly with the founders to ramp the team and harden the product.
• Built foundational components of the Unicommerce platform from scratch, including the core web application, Warehouse application, and Logistics platform.

• Joined Snapdeal as part of the Unicommerce acquisition and was embedded into a new internal startup — OLP (Open Logistics Platform) — built from scratch to solve last-mile delivery at scale.
• OLP managed the full lifecycle of a consignment: from first arrival at a warehouse, through multi-hub transit between warehouses, to final assignment to the warehouse nearest the customer — and ultimately to a rider for doorstep delivery. The platform handled real-time rider location tracking and telemetry, runtime pickup assignment to riders based on live signals, and in-app COD payment collection directly on the rider's phone at the point of delivery.
• Built on a microservices architecture, the system was designed to scale horizontally across geographies and consignment volume. I worked full-stack across the platform — API design and integration, multi-language (RTL) support, analytics instrumentation, and the observability stack that kept the operations team in the loop on rider, hub, and consignment health in real time.
