Makepeace Sitlhou — Co-Founder
Emmy award winning independent journalist and Fulbright fellow. I have been reporting on human rights, social movements, culture, travel, and alternative lifestyles for over a decade, with a focus on India and its Northeast region. I have worked with leading international and national media outlets, such as The Washington Post, Al Jazeera, Vice, Vox, and ThePrint, among many others, producing stories that inform, engage, and inspire audiences across the world. Until June 2023, I was in residency at the Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where I expanded my skills and knowledge in investigative reporting, digital storytelling, and audience development. I have also received multiple awards and grants for my work. My mission is to use journalism as a tool for social change and empowerment and to amplify the voices and stories of marginalized and underrepresented communities. I’m available for feature writing, podcasting, producing documentaries, investigations, journalistic collaborations, editing, proofing, research, speech writing and copy writing. Don’t do execution anymore but can devise a digital/social media strategy for you!
