• Search Infrastructure Migration: Architected and executed the end-to-end migration from Algolia to Typesense. Managed a massive data pruning effort, reducing a 44M document corpus down to 22M highly relevant records, and engineered a Kafka-driven real-time sync pipeline that eliminated the need for nightly re-indexing.
• Latency & Performance Engineering: Tuned mmap configurations and search constraints to achieve an 80% reduction in latency, slashing query response times from over 700ms to sub-200ms.
• High-Availability Microservices: Designed and built a generic partner integration microservice for multi-channel order ingestion. Ensured 100% data consistency using idempotency and rate-limiting, achieving 99% uptime and sub-200ms response times.
• Infrastructure Optimization: Profiled and optimized the core discount/offer computation engine to reduce CPU overhead and improve throughput during high-traffic checkout flows. Resolved critical memory and compute bottlenecks through connection-pool optimizations and resource-limit tuning to improve stability under peak loads.
