For more than a decade, I wrote for busy people who don't have time to read. This includes senior policymakers at Singapore's Ministry of Defence and C-suites at a Fortune 500 company. That has taught me how to catch a busy reader's attention in 90 seconds, and the skill turns out to be more portable than I expected. In 2025, I started writing personal stories on LinkedIn about what it takes to do well in work and life, using the same eye-catching hooks. The pieces travelled further than I'd planned, attracting senior PMEs all around the world. The more they read, the more they started asking me to do two things. The first was to teach the same skill in person. I now run keynotes and workshops on how to catch attention in 90 seconds, applied to LinkedIn writing, networking, and change management. The second was to write the same way for their organisations. I take on a small number of brand features each year for products and services I'd genuinely recommend to my readers.
