It is commonly known the price stocks that are related to each other tend move together, for example stocks that are on the S&P 500 tend to mostly all rise or all fall. this happen because most investors use trading strategies that club these stocks together, like mutual funds have separate plans which only trade these stocks.
This fact however is often overlooked in most trading algorithms.
In this project, we have attempted to capture this relation between multiple stocks by using a Graph Neural Network. We attempt to create a Graph Convolutional Networks(GCN) with a Long-Short term memory model(LSTM) to model the shifting trends in the market.
We worked on this project under Dr. Sujatha R Upadhyaya as a part of our summer internship.
