Brent Anderson — Co-Founder
I've always been fascinated by how things work and how they can be improved. Looking back, that's probably the biggest reason I became an engineer. That curiosity started with computers and video games, but it quickly expanded beyond software. In high school, I took engineering and CAD courses where I designed real projects before they were ever built. One of my favorite experiences was participating in a high-mileage vehicle program where we designed components with precise dimensions, fabricated a lightweight frame, modified the engine for efficiency, and ran test laps to measure performance and identify opportunities for improvement. It was my first real exposure to the engineering cycle of designing, building, testing, and iterating. Around the same time, I was programming automated marble-sorting machines and building websites with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP. What fascinated me was that the process felt the same whether I was working with hardware or software. Understand the problem. Build a solution. Test it. Improve it. Repeat. After high school, I joined the military as a mechanic, where I worked on everything from passenger vehicles to specialized equipment while continuing to build websites, game servers, and side projects in my free time. The environment reinforced something that had already become a core part of how I think: good problem solving starts with understanding how a system works before trying to improve it. Today, I'm a software engineer focused primarily on JavaScript, TypeScript, React, frontend architecture, and modern web development. I enjoy building applications that solve real problems, improving performance and usability, and creating software that people genuinely enjoy using. I care deeply about code quality, maintainability, accessibility, and thoughtful engineering practices. Whether I'm designing software, building a game engine, repairing something around my house, or learning a completely new skill, the motivation is always the same. I enjoy understanding complex systems, finding better ways to do things, and turning ideas into something real.
