• I was the Principal Architect for the Audience targeting platform. As a team, we built (from scratch) the next generation, near real-time, geo-distributed, user platform that ingests 8-10 billion daily events from up to 1.4 billion users interacting with Inmobi network. The platform also served user profiles to ad-serving as well as provided the base for generating analytics and reporting. The platform was used across the different product lines in InMobi including mobile-commerce, data-sciences for user segmentation and profiling and user retargeting.

• 2008-2010
• I worked as a part of the core Map/Reduce development team directly contributing to the Apache Hadoop project. In the two years, I worked on several features to the Map/Reduce framework including refactoring the shuffle algorithm and a new job history implementation.
• 2010-2012
• I worked as a part of the engineering team with Sherpa, the NoSQL solution from Yahoo. I led the Bangalore engineering team and was the primary interface between the Sunnyvale and Bangalore teams. Apart from some core functionality, the Bangalore team developed the monitoring and metering solution for Sherpa and also the Backup/Restore modules.
• 2012-
• I am working as a senior engineer/architect with the content processing platforms team. The content processing platform provides a convenient processing framework based on Hadoop technologies and a storage solution based on HBase.

• As the senior engineer, I was responsible for end-to-end engineering ownership of one of the flagship products of the Company, MPI/Pro. I also developed MPI implementations for several high speed interconnects like Myrinet, Infiniband as well the TCP polling device.
• The other product that I worked on was the cluster management software where I owned a few modules including the SNMP based monitoring module.

Jun 1995 – Jan 2000 · 4 yrs 7 mos

• Over the course of almost five years, I worked in several projects in the financial/banking sector, primarily for Wall Street clients. About half of these five years was spent onsite in places including Barbados and New York. In these assignments, I acted as both the engineering lead as well as the interface between the client and the offshore teams.
