• Responsible for development of FlashSoft (https://www.sandisk.in/business/datacenter/products/flash-software/flashsoft), which enables solid-state storage in the server to act as cache to enhance storage performance. My responsilities included owning product technical roadmap, requirement/feasibility analysis, estimation, planning, task assignment, tracking and so on for both Dev and QA areas. Responsilities also included interacting with Product Managers, partners/customers, Support team, Documentation team, etc. I was responsible for capex/opex planning, hiring, motivation and retention and career growth of my team members. • As Engineering Manager at IBM's Linux Technology Center (www.ibm.com/linux/ltc/), my responsibilities included visualizing and defining future of the software products my team works on, defining deliverables & time lines and tracking progress of work. This required me to work and co-ordinate with people in various geographies. The areas I worked in included virtualization, storage, file systems, PowerKVM (KVM on IBM Power systems), enabling PowerLinux systems for new environments like cloud datacenters and DevOps. I was also responsible for finding and recruiting the right people for my project and managing their technical and career growth.

• I started with individual contributor roles and then worked as Technical Lead on various projects in Linux Technology Center. I worked on different areas Linux like process subsystem, synchronization, threading library, futexes, Real-Time kernel (PREEMPT-RT), File Systems (9P), QEMU and so on. I made contributions to Open Source communities in the areas I worked. I also presented at various external forums (conferences, universities) about my work as well as Linux ecosystem.
