• While working in the backend engineering team, I worked closely on a CSV dataset consisting of 120,000 rows of information which ranged from the latitudes, longitudes and azimuth of existing cell towers.
• The aim was to find the nearest 50 cell towers for each tower keeping into account the given parameters.
• We (a team of 2 people) provided a solution which cut down the results generation time by 86% as compared to the previously existing solution. Gained a better understanding about multiprocessing, concurrency, and operating system concepts.
• Wrote RESTful APIs for the backend services that helped deploy containers through Azure on VMs.
• Interacted with clients to help set up the environment as per requirements in VMs to deploy containers, which helped in gaining a better understanding of Linux and OS.
