At NPCI, I contribute to building and scaling the backend systems that power India’s UPI ecosystem, processing 20B+ transactions worth INR 25 Trillion every month.
I’ve engineered and deployed 15+ key backend and frontend modules, including maker-checker workflows, fees and GST computation, bulk validators, and dispute management systems strengthening dispute resolution, compliance, and administrative controls.
I also play a critical role in maintaining seamless 24x7 uptime by resolving high-severity production issues across settlements, validations, and reporting workflows. To support real-time scalability, I’ve optimized UPI transaction pipelines by enhancing Kafka consumers, Redis caching, cron scheduling, and system configurations, significantly reducing latency and improving fault tolerance.
This role has placed me at the forefront of India’s digital payments infrastructure, where I directly contribute to keeping the world’s largest real-time payments network secure, resilient, and scalable.
