• Position responsibilities include but not limited to supporting program managers and design engineers for both ITAR and commercial products which require entering and updating Bills of Materials, create part numbers for PCB’s, schematics and assembly numbers, create AML’s and update revision-controlled parts through PLM system, material procurement, interact with distributors and suppliers. Compile material shortage reports and locate available inventory, pricing and lead times.
• Coordinate prototype build schedules with Planning, stockroom, production team and manufacturing engineers. Assist production assembly with prototype builds from Surface Mount, wave, post solder ops, chassis assembly and QC. Work hands-on with manufacturing assembly to define processes and required tooling for efficiency and ease of assembling. Introduce Lean Manufacturing concepts when applicable.
• Ensure workmanship standards are within IPC 610 / J-STD criteria. Provide written documentation and photos to manufacturing engineers to create shop floor assembly instructions and special instructions such as “on-the-job training”, when needed. Review processes related defects to identify root cause analysis.
• Required processes and procedures for new product introduction (NPI). Report to engineer’s issues, questions, concerns regarding process and design related issues (form, fit & function). Also, notify engineering of discrepancies with documentation and material.
• Process and submit company procedure updates through PLM System (Pro.File)

• Coordinate and prioritize daily work activities using MRP system dispatch reports and backlog reports. Conduct shop floor meetings for all new and existing project builds, communicate daily and weekly product shipment goals, quality issues, production and company related issues. Monitor material process flow and quality issues.

• Monitor work centers inventory using dispatch reports, prepare shop floor material for annual inventory audits.
• Streamlined processes through Lean Manufacturing concepts and TOC techniques.
• Set up new product introduction line, setup cell line process to meet daily delivery schedule.
