Danny Monks — Software Engineer

Recently graduated with a Masters of Engineering in Electronic and Computing Engineering from University College Dublin (UCD). I am a strong professional who strives to challenge myself and continue to acquire new skills. My experience has enabled me to display confidence in working with teams and in individual environments. My efficiency is highlighted when working towards deadlines and targets while displaying an ability to perform well under pressure. I am proficient in Python while also having familiarity in various other languages such as C++, C, Java, Perl and Tcl. I also have experience working with HTML. While on my college placement with Synopsys, I obtained practical experience in the software development life-cycle. Joining a machine learning team while on placement afforded me the opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques. Coupled with my research project titled 'Emotion Detection from Text using Deep Learning Algorithms', I am more than capable in the field of machine learning.
