About

I build AI systems that work outside the lab. Five years of software engineering at Infosys and Accenture gave me something most ML graduates don't have — I know what it takes to keep a system running at scale, not just get it working once. When I moved into AI research during my Master's at UNT, I brought that production mindset with me. My recent work has been in healthcare. I trained a cancer detection model on 277,483 histopathology images that achieved ROC-AUC of 0.955 — then deployed it with a real frontend and backend, not just a notebook. I also built a wearable cardiac and fall detection system that ran on 1,228 real test windows with zero false escalations, using on-device CNNs, a finite state machine for multi-stage response, and an LLM for coordination. That last part mattered to me because in an emergency, the system has to be right. To understand RAG systems from the ground up, I built my own pipeline using LangChain, Weaviate, and Ollama -working through every layer from document ingestion and semantic chunking to vector storage and local LLM generation. I wanted to know why each piece exists, not just how to use it. I'm looking for full-time roles in AI/ML Engineering or Software Engineering where the work has real consequences. Healthcare is my focus but I'm open to any domain where getting it wrong actually matters. Available now.
