• Part of the CSIRT security trust organisation at Cisco. I am primarily responsible for developing services to effectively safeguard Cisco Enterprise and Business Units from both common security threats and sophisticated cyber-attacks.

• Part of the Database and Replication Services Team in the Infrastructure Cloud Security and Services business unit. My primary role in the team is to develop scripts that can monitor and manage database systems of large-scale applications/systems. Following are some of the projects I worked on:
• Security and Compliance
• API to generate SSL certificates for Postgres Cluster. The certificate encrypts the data in motion and the data at rest by enabling a secured connection between the client and the database.
• Ansible playbooks for provisioning Postgres database in the nodes, thereby creating a cluster.
• API to check the MySQL, Postgres, Mongo, and Cassandra environment's compliance status and notify the team and the Product Owner if the version is no more life cycle compliant.
• UI for the APIs that are provided as a self-service tool for the Product Owner.
• Operations
• Upgraded all the MySQL environments offered by our team to a compliant version.
• Developed cron script to alert the team if the cloud storage limit is exceeded.
• Responsible for setting up the backup and cron scripts for Postgres environments.

• I was primarily responsible for developing an API using the Django REST framework that can upgrade all the nodes in a MySQL cluster to a specified version with near-zero downtime. The API is rolled out to clients as a self-service tool developed using AngularJS. The API eliminates manual intervention of DBA and reduces the manual effort to upgrade the MySQL nodes individually, which usually takes more than 2 hours, depending on the cluster size.
