  • At DELL I have worked with two different mid-range storage solutions. I was lucky enough to
  • work with a legacy storage system which is still being prominently used by many customers. I
  • have also worked with latest and next generation storage solutions.
  • 1. QRQ:
  • QRQ is an iSCSI network stack that runs on BSD systems which includes everything from Ethernet drivers to high level storage protocols. I have worked at all levels in this project, from optimizing Intel NIC drivers to fixing RFC 7143 implementation. Optimizing the data path without compromising integrity and speed was the key challenge in this project. QRQ serves as the backbone of iSCSI in DELL mid-range storage solutions.
  • 2. Remote logging :
  • Customers often require to forward system logs from storage boxes to remote syslog servers. This functionality was demanded by a large number of customers for a long time. We as a team were able to come up with a solution to remotely collect system and debug logs from storage boxes using rsyslog.
  • 3. Security vulnerabilities & OpenSSL:
  • I was in charge of handling vulnerability escalations for DELL Storage Center. I have also integrated latest OpenSSL version with Equallogic storage system to enhance security of the product.
