I am an undergraduate from NIT Calicut Mechanical Engineering Department; passing out in May 2019. I worked on the Design and Fabrication of Suspension, Axle, Steering at TEAMUNWIRED club at NIT Calicut. I worked on the Design of Knee Rehabilitation Device using Solidworks, Ansys, Matlab, Python, Tkinter(GUI toolkit), Arduino, Raspberry Pi for providing low cost, more exercises and a better interface for the Device. There are various workshops inside like wheels, body repair, bogie, machine. We worked in wheels workshop where we studied how the bearings in a wagon or engine wheels are recycled for further use. How the defects in the bearings like water etching, corrosion, electric burns, spalling, cup crack, roller crack, flaking, cage bend are identified with different types of machinery and also how the press fitting of bearings is disassembled and assembled.

F1 Car Suspension system designer

We worked in a team for the design and fabrication of a suspension system of the F1 car.
1. We used LOTUS to adjust motion ratio, camber, caster, kingpin angle of our symmetric Double wishbone suspension design.
2.CAD models are made using SolidWorks
3. Load analysis for the knuckle, HUB, A-arms is done and achieved a factor of safety of 1.5 for each of the component.
4. Fabrication of Knuckle of aluminium, HUB shaft of mild steel was done by using Mastercam code in vertical milling CNC, CNC lathe respectively.
5. A-arms rods, HUB with flanges was fabricated using welding, lathe machines.
6. Assembled the suspension components to chassis using TIG welding.
