Developing scalable and portable solution for Particle-in-Cell, a computationally intensive problem.
Developed novel and highly parallel Grid-Cell map interface(Parallel Multi-Map based structure) to solve atomic contentions and scalability problems in parallelising PIC, using DPC++ SYCL framework enhancing portability of code on heterogeneous architectures (CPU and GPU)
Achieved significant speedup on GPU - 67x and CPU - 4.5x compared to serial baseline, benchmarking it with one of fastest PIC codes in the world.
Currently working on SYCL-MPI based solution to scale it to multi-node systems.
