• The research software engineer will work on the REFLECT project, expanding the capabilities of an existing AI-based clinical decision-support system (CONSULT). CONSULT is characterized by its use of sensor data, which it uses to inform its operation, and as a part of this role the RSE will extend the system in order to enable it to gather data from a wider range of devices. The extended DSS will then be deployed to appropriate cloud infrastructure, and the RSE will work with the project partner, Metadvice, a global health technology company, who wish to access the data via an appropriate interface in order to use it to support the care provided to cardiometabolic patients.
• Objectives:
• To develop additional pluggable modules for the CONSULT DSS that leverage the REST APIs developed by commercial sensor vendors in order to acquire a wider range of phenotypic data.
• To deploy the expanded DSS to cloud infrastructure (AWS) and develop an appropriate interface in order to provide the project partner, Metadvice, with access to this data.
• To contribute to the writing of conference and journal papers that discuss the expanded architecture and its performance.
