Currently building backend of Torry Harris Marketplace(THMP) application using Django REST Framework and developed high performance REST APIs to facilitate seamless experience to the end user.
Implemented multi-image functionality for product page module to upload multiple product images in one API call, improved performance and response time of the related APIs from 800ms to 370ms, GET API response time from 300ms to 25ms ensuring enhanced user experience.
Conducted R&D on sanitization library like bleach, using which sanitized and secured 130+ REST APIs from XSS attacks. Led my team to integrate sanitization to their APIs across the THMP for XSS protection and secure data handling.
Built prototype for anti-virus integration using ClamAV achieving malicious file detection accuracy of 75-90%. Also built a prototype for notification queuing system using RabbitMQ and its python client Pika, optimizing real-time notifications.
Explored WhatsApp messaging integration in THMP for sending engaging notifications to the end users using Twilio WhatsApp Service.
Integrating a conversational short language model into the product search module to process user queries and show the relevant products. Also, explored Apache Ignite for its cache performance and gave the report to management.
