• Our four person team built the Elixir backend and Ember.js frontend for an entire accounting application to compete with QuickBooks.
• I wrote a machine learning pipeline that leveraged Fasttext to processes hundreds of thousands of transactions per day. The model is retrained daily so each day users get up-to-date categorization suggestions based on how they have categorized similar transactions.
• Built a suite of growth and SEO tools for small businesses including a public profile page, aggregated reviews from Google, Facebook & Yelp, keyword rank tracking and automatic review request sent via text messages based on rules like the number of transactions or total revenue from a customer.
• Built a real-time messaging system for accountants to chat with their clients in the app. Clients got the messages and responded via SMS and could answer accountants questions about transactions using a mobile friendly interface.
• ZipBooks was acquired by Divvy in 2019.

• Designed the backend API, third-party integrations and overall system architecture of a project called Protein. I worked directly on the backend Rails app, the front-end Ember.js app and the iOS app. Also built a sophisticated Slack Bot integration in Go.
• Also led the development on a client project. We came in $100k under budget.

• Built the first prototype for the Family Tree iOS app and demoed it to the CEO. Built the (still live) browser Fan Chart interface in D3.js

• Built the first third-party iOS calendar app, "Calvetica", that was in the top 50 paid apps in the App Store. Sold half a million copies. We built some other apps that were also pretty successful.
• Spoke at an iOS developers conference in Australia to an audience of 200 about our success in the App Store.
• I lead a team of engineer students we hired from the U of U. They went on to work for companies like Apple, Netflix, Lucid, Yahoo.
