About

I’m a Senior Software Engineer at Amazon Redshift, leading the development of large-scale data infrastructure powering thousands of AWS customers. As one of the founding engineers for Redshift Zero-ETL, I helped shape its architecture, cross-account encryption model, and end-to-end data movement pipeline — enabling near real-time analytics between Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift. Currently, I lead the Redshift Web Services and ZeroETL team, responsible for serving all customer-facing traffic and managing Redshift CloudFormation resources, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability at global scale. Alongside this, I’m also driving efforts to integrate Generative AI to improve developer experience, including automating operational insights, simplifying debugging workflows, and building intelligent internal tools that accelerate development across the org. I’m passionate about distributed systems, data infrastructure, and AI-driven developer productivity, and I thrive in environments where deep technical execution meets product impact.

  • ● AWS Redshift
  • Architected and led the Zero-ETL control-plane integration, building consensus among 8 + AWS teams within (Redshift, RDS, Aurora Orgs) by proposing and defining shared control-plane APIs and workflows. Acted as away-team tech lead for RDS, delivering the first Zero-ETL prototype between Aurora MySQL and Redshift.
  • Led the Redshift Control Plane team responsible for the core service framework, scaling strategy, and API infrastructure powering Redshift and Redshift Serverless.
  • Architected KMS-based encryption experience for encryption at rest and in transit, simplifying key management and ensuring secure cross-account data replication for ZeroETL product.
  • Led AI-driven developer productivity initiatives using Amazon Bedrock/Claude and RAG-based retrieval systems to automate test failure summarization, log analysis, and RCA generation.
  • Defined long-term patterns and permissions models for cross-service authentication, authorization, and data-movement orchestration, setting standards for future Zero-ETL integrations.
  • Mentored 10+ engineers (SDE I–III) across many Amazon teams; guided promotion cases and led design-review practices now adopted org-wide.

  • ● AWS Databases, Glue Elastic Views (GEV)
  • https://aws.amazon.com/glue/features/elastic-views/ [June' 20 - Present]
  • Distributed fault tolerant Control Plane Adapter framework for GEV which enabled control Plane APIs to easily integrate with other Database partners like Dynamo, Elastic Search, Redshift.
  • Real-time data supplier from DynamoDB by integrating DynamoDB Control Plane and Data Plane to support AWS GEV data transfer.
  • End to End Canary framework for GEV which enables the team to test all its components including Control Plane, Data plane and IVM(Incremental View Management) Query Engine both as a customer and partner data source.
  • Incremental View Management Engine Inspect Schema capability, which inspects a Source Schema(from DynamoDB, Redshift DBs) and figures out the corresponding violations in field-names, field-types, if any, corresponding Target data types suggestions based on Cast loss-ness.
  • Leading the project Provenance Automation to automate the primary keys required at the time of view creation by inferring them from the Source data source.
  • ● AWS Route 53
  • https://docs.aws.amazon.com/Route53/latest/DeveloperGuide/dns-failover.html
  • Rearchitectured DNSHostAggregator, a component which sits alongside Route53 DNS query resolver at the Edge Locations aka PoPs to scale 5X to support 400 Million Health Checks. This aggregates status of all the health checks for DNS based health checks to support DNS failovers.
  • Found out an extremely critical bug in Route 53 DNS, which could have caused a world-wide outage by shutting down the DNS failover mechanism. The bug was in Change Number information which is an auto-increment 32-bit field in Health Checks, which was running close to the limit of 32 bit.
  • Setup DNS Health Check infrastructure end-to-end to support a new AWS region, MXP, which requires deep knowledge of the overall Route53 infrastructure.

  • Frameworks : Java REST framework, Hibernate
  • Tools : AWS Cloud (EC2), Spark, MapReduce, Git, Maven, RabbitMQ, Kafka, Jmeter.
  • Databases : MySQL, Amazon RedShift, MongoDB
  • Project 1.
  • ● Designed and Implemented in-house warehouse management system for LimeRoad. Return processing to vendors. Solved distributed problem of returning shipment items to multiple warehouses belonging to multiple vendors.
  • FullStack Development using - Java, MongoDB, Mysql DB for Backend REST services. CakePHP, Javascript, Ajax for FrontEnd Development.
  • Project 2.
  • ● Designed and Implemented Packaging Automation tool. Which replenishes packaging for all LimeRoad's Vendors across India. It calculates all the different kind of packagings required by Vendors which is forecasted using previous sales of products, transit time required to send packagings to their warehouses location, safety stocks for vendors, warehouse response time etc for calculations of each type of packagings. Auto-replenishment of done when available packaging drops a minimum packaging held by vendor.
  • Project 3.
  • ● Currently working on the project to improve overall quality of all the products which are being sold on LimeRoad. Currently one of the biggest operational challenges faced.
  • Library 1.
  • ● Developed highly scalable State Machine Framework Library for managing state transitions and tasks associated by pre defined workflow mechanism. Widely used across the company for lifecycle management of products, returns, validations etc. Also developed custom serialiser and deserialiser for its Object to JSON and vice-versa conversions.
