● Worked as the lead engineer as a full stack developer for the Dashboard project aimed at creating out of box and customizable dashboards that retrieve, aggregate and visualize various data generated by EM. (a centralized management tool for monitoring and optimizing Oracle databases, applications, middleware, and hardware systems) Here, I gained leadership experience, by taking ownership and driving the successful design and release of complex features like – dashboard filter, user created widgets, widget parameterization and free SQL based widgets. This was a critical path feature which was showcased in Oracle Open World, which helped gain new customers. Followed a 2 month release cycle, while considering things like backward and forward compatibility.
● Drove extensive design discussions at a cross functional level and implemented customer requested features in the common dashboard framework that allows creation of metadata driven dashboards. This UI framework is used by about 5 teams and 25 developers hence impacting various user facing products in EM and OCI. Developed a deep understanding of Javascript, Node and the browser environment.
● Developed Java API’s and UI for the Federation feature of EM which aggregates data from EM’s across different locations and displays them in a single dashboard. This impacted EM’s highest paying customers by improving accessibility to critical information and helping to retain them. Notably, Introduced concurrency using Java's concurrent util, which greatly improved the performance.
● Modernized release process by moving source code to git and setting up pipelines to build and deploy the code in legacy environments. Eliminating the chances of user error and reducing development times for the whole team.
