About

I bridge the gap between engineering, data and strategy: deciding which AI and software projects are worth building, and how to make them scale. I am a Principal in AI and engineering strategy (software and AI engineer by training), acting as both architect and strategist for organisations that need to cut through AI and software hype. My focus is not only on whether a system can be built, but whether it deserves to be: will it deliver measurable value and scale efficiently? With a dual foundation in Computer Science and Analytics and experience shaping platforms used by millions, I translate between the C-suite and engineering. I have shaped architecture for systems ranging from secure mobile banking ecosystems to enterprise-scale optimisation engines. I partner with leadership to: • Evaluate technical risk – assessing the viability of AI and software investments before capital is deployed. • Scale high-impact ventures – turning prototypes into resilient distributed systems (microservices/APIs) that carry enterprise load. • Align roadmaps and outcomes – ensuring complex technical roadmaps map cleanly to defensible business outcomes. My recent work focuses on agentic AI and algorithmic trading. I design systems where intelligent agents reason, retrieve and collaborate, applying the latency and reliability discipline of financial trading to modern AI architectures. Fluent in English (native) and proficient in French. A builder at heart, and a technology strategist by trade. Deep focus areas: Agentic AI · AI Strategy · AI Ethics · Distributed Systems · RAG · LLMs · Financial Technology · Technical Due Diligence · APIs & Microservices

Principal Engineer

Jan 2023Dec 2025 · 2 yrs 11 mos · Paris · On-site

  • Principal Engineer leading multi-programme delivery at the intersection of software & data engineering, security, optimisation, applied AI (Statistical ML + Generative I).
  • Led engineering delivery across multiple client programmes (teams of 4–12), owning architecture, delivery governance, and security sign-off; partnered with CIO/CTO stakeholders and presented outcomes in exec forums.
  • Shipped production systems in regulated, high-stakes environments, embedding security and quality gates into the delivery path (OWASP, Ping (IAM), pen-test gating); repeatedly delivered against hard external deadlines where timing materially affected business outcomes.
  • Drove measurable performance and decision-quality gains through optimisation and applied AI, redesigning a MILP solver (≈1 hr → ≈10 sec; 60–80% efficiency gains at field scale) and building validation/baselining frameworks to make GenAI outputs consistent and auditable in production.

  • Design & Implemented core components while delivering key business
  • initiatives. Some of my core function & responsibilities included but is not
  • limited to:
  • i. Provided Coding Best Practices
  • ii. Documentation and Knowledge Distribution to the team
  • iii. Guidance & Mentoring to team members
  • iv. Parallelizing & Distributing Dev Work
  • v. Design & Standardization on Cross Cutting Concerns
  • Interesting Work:
  • Common Application Framework used as the core set of APIs and
  • Interfaces to build software internally. The guiding principle behind CAF is
  • to write and test once; developers should focus on the business problem,
  • not the mundane day to day concerns.
  • Entitlements – A multi-tenant Authorization Framework that can be
  • applied to a variety of resources including rows in a database, or
  • dynamically executing code. The framework is now being used in 90% of
  • our micro-services. The framework was also extended to the legacy applications.
  • CSCS – Client Supported Contract Testing redefines how contract testing is
  • traditionally done and improves upon it.

Barnes & noble.com

Software Engineer

Jun 2010Mar 2012 · 1 yr 9 mos

  • At Barnes & Noble I worked with some of the brightest people on a daily basis. Our job was
  • simple; to deliver the best and most awesome experience that we could in our digital domain. I
  • worked primarily on content ingestion for Nook devices and web. Our process had to always be
  • up and ready 24/7 because our publishers could push content to us at anytime. Our process
  • covered the following areas.
  • 1. Validation of content
  • 2. Conversion of content (PDF to ePub format for example)
  • 3. Encryption/DRM (If need be)
  • 4. Publication (Ready for distribution)

Cushman & wakefield

Senior Developer & Tech Lead

Jan 2009Aug 2010 · 1 yr 7 mos

  • Until Cushman & Wakefield, I had no idea the commercial real estate space was so exciting. The business of appraising a property is quite complicated and not an exact science. One has to offset competency with experience to truly make a mark in this field. There are many rules and regulations that must be administered when appraising a property and every appraiser needs a good tool to make his or her job easier; that was were I came in.
  • As a developer at Cushman & Wakefield. I took ownership of one of the most complicated applications used by the appraisers on my team. My job was to support this application and enhance it to grow with the daily demands of the business space I was in.

  • From inception to market, I was involved in a project's life cycle. My goal was to take someones idea and make it a reality. That included a bit of analysis, designing, coding and guidance to both clients and developers that I worked with.

Merrill lynch

Senior Technical Analyst

  • 1. Worked on large client on-boarding initiative.
  • 2. Business Intelligence & Reporting
  • 3. ETL, Data Warehouses & Data Analysis
