• My primary responsibility was to design backend services that run on customized firmware, which coordinate and manage the entire ecosystem of the IOT machines.
• Designed and developed a static analysis tool that scans entire codebases for rule violations, ensuring consistent code quality and adherence to best practices across the team and projects.
• Created a flexible rules engine to make the tool adaptable, allowing teams to easily customize and update coding standards as project requirements evolve, keeping the tool aligned with changing needs.
• Optimized the tool to handle large, complex codebases, ensuring it could efficiently manage multi million line projects without compromising performance or speed.
• Built an automation tool, integrated with GitLab using access token authentication to simplify repository configuration. The tool lets developers specify settings like branch types (dev, pre-release, release), clone existing repositories, apply configurations from a file, and push changes to remote repositories, ensuring branches are created and maintained as needed.
• Developed backend services on a custom firmware setup using Raspberry Pi 3 and Node.js to power a soda fountain machine, enabling it to dispense either ambient or chilled juice based on user input from the touch panel.
• Configured the system to meet business requirements, adjusting functionality for temperature control, dispensing modes, and ensuring smooth operation according to the specified use cases.
• Set up timers for precise dispensing intervals, following business unit requirements to ensure accurate and reliable operation.
• Also worked on several proof-of-concepts (POCs) to establish Modbus serial communication.
