His team accomplished revamping recommendation systems to increase the response of mailers by 200 percent and improved the revenue from Cold Calling Services by 30 percent. Before joining HT, he worked as VP, Analytics for Tickled Media, the biggest south east asian parenting portal helping setup their India office. Previously he worked as a Senior Manager in the Analytics team at Infoedge India. Previously he has worked as a Consultant (Analytics Specialist) at Opera Solutions. Anand completed his B.Tech and M.Tech (dual degree) in Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. Anand specializes in analytical problem solving, especially machine learning, classification, regression, and decision optimization. His thesis focused on automatically annotating large image collections on the web using a combination of weighted feature-classifier pairs. During his Masters, Anand has interned at Xerox Research Center Europe, France where he worked on creating and organizing huge image collections. Xerox had many image processing algorithms which they often needed to train and test on huge amount of images. He designed and implemented a system which could download, store and retrieve millions of images locally. He has also interned at Rice University, USA where he worked on developing, implementing and testing scheduling algorithms for improving QoS in data centers and efficiently leveraging the power of cloud.
