The problem faced by the company was that the time they take to complete the full and final settlement of an employee who leaves the company is trending more than the industry average. Their short term goal is to reduce the same to less than 30 days in the near future and the ultimate goal is to set a process in place where the employees receive the full and final settlement on the last day of working.
  • To make this happen, there were series of meetings, continuous improvement plans and sessions held with all stakeholders the current state mapping of separation process was formed and the non-value adding processes were identified along with processes that can be modified or removed completely.
  • There was a workshop conducted with all the stakeholders and on rigorous analysis and scrutiny, all the non-value adding resources were either eliminated or improvements were proposed.
  • The proposed action plan was duly noted and each team put forth their SLA to get them into practice. At the end of the day, the result was in reducing the lead time.
