Anoop Nautiyal is a social worker and community leader from Uttarakhand. He is the founder of the Dehradun based Social Development for Communities (SDC) Foundation, a not-for-profit engaged in climate and environmental conservation, sustainable urbanization and solid & plastic waste management. Anoop co-edited the recently launched Making Molehills of Mountains: Demystifying Disasters in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, a first ever book for the state of Uttarakhand that documented its major climate events, disasters and road accidents in 2023. With a deep social commitment towards his state, he worked closely with the Government of Uttarakhand and a range of stakeholders while establishing and leading the 108 emergency services in PPP mode. Given his initial years of being in the global clothing sector; Anoop comes with depth and a range of experiences across the social, government and corporate sectors.
