• The concept of sharing idle products and services with others using peer-to-peer services has given birth to a new kind of economy. Uber and Ola are prime examples of success in this kind of collaborative economy. According to the latest PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) report, this collaborative economy has the potential to increase global revenues from around $15 billion now to $335 billion by 2025. Peer-to-peer businesses – more commonly known as collaborative consumption or share economy – is growing and covering different products and services. While the idea is slowly catching up in India, globally collaborative consumption has been around for close to a decade now.

• Being part of Amazon Global Prime team, I got an opportunity to work and owning couple of important product/services end to end. I also worked on large scale systems owning an important feature right from scratch which involved designing till implementation. I have also seen and handled huge amount of service load during peak time (Christmas) in Amazon.com and earned internal recognition.
• Built and enabled Amazon India Prime program working in a distributed tech environment (multiple teams) ranging from homepage, product detail page, cart, checkout, logistics, prime benefits, prime renewal and multiple internal tools. Wrote 2 COEs (for large scale incidents), something not a proud moment but full of learning. Worked with India, Seattle, China and France teams.
• I also played a role of scrum master in my team and involved in sprint planning, estimating efforts, conducting standups & team meetings, preparing project reports which had senior level visibility and delivering results on time.
• I was involved actively in hiring process. I have taken more than 75 interviews so far in Amazon with almost 85% accuracy in hiring meter (internal to Amazon).

Technology/language - Open source search platform SOLR/Lucene, Java and Php (for frontend).
