After 16+ years in service and product design, I now lead the Experience Design team at Chargebee, a SaaS billing company. What I love about Chargebee is the unique opportunity to stay deeply connected to the customer journey. In B2C, design is often about observing and solving for immediate customer needs. In B2B, while that remains true, we also need to understand the larger context like customers’ sales cycles, onboarding experiences through solution consulting, professional services, support, and success touchpoints. For any design initiative, we aren’t just solving the problem in front of us, we’re designing with the entire parallel world of customer interactions in mind. That perspective motivates us to create solutions that are not only usable but also truly transformative for their business. Leading a high-performing team across multiple product areas has pushed me to stay a step ahead by continuously learning, planning strategically, and adapting to org needs and culture. At PayPal, I led the design for Checkout in Billing Agreements and Subscriptions, which drove significant adoption. I also worked on the Dispute Management system, making it easier for buyers and sellers to resolve issues through automation and better transparency - something that had a real impact on both users and business outcomes. Before that, at Infosys, I had the opportunity to work across industries, platforms, and culture, meeting business teams with different levels of design maturity. That experience really shaped how I communicate the value of design in different environments. But beyond work, design has changed the way I see the world. One of my favourite things is experiencing life through my son’s eyes - it’s a whole new way of looking at things, making me more observant, thoughtful, and intentional in how I approach both work and life.
