• I was a Teaching Assistant, to Harvard Professor Pavlos Protopapas & Harvard Researcher Shivas Jayaram, for AI-5, a course on Machine Learning Operations (MLOps).
• AI-5 is a 9 Week Professional Course which aims to review existing Deep Learning flow while applying it to a real-world problem. The course equips you to build efficient deep learning models and design, build and deploy applications that scale. Students build and deploy an application that uses the deep learning model to understand how to productionize models.
• As a Teaching Assistant, we helped develop the content & exercises for the course, teach & mentor students and help them build their End to End Deep Learning Applications. We guided students to build production level projects & implement Machine Learning/Deep Learning theories in practice, through frameworks like Docker, Kubernetes & Ansible.
• We helped mentored students to design an application end-to-end, including how to create the backend & frontend, how to deploy models on the cloud, optimise them with data pipelines, learn techniques like distillation and model compression, and combine all components in a way to ensure it can scale.
• I learnt important skills like teaching effectively, coaching & mentoring and driving projects. The interactions with students broadened my perspective on the applications of ML and MLOps, and I learnt about new frameworks & models. I will always cherish this experience!
