  • I.Analog Circuit Design: Designed a signal conditioning circuit which can simultaneously take input from the various primary sensing elements (Temperature sensor RTD, Humidity sensor, Vibration Sensor, Carbon Monoxide (CO) Sensor,Sulphur Dioxide (SO2) sensor and Air Quality sensor), converted the measured variables into voltage form, filtered the signals for noise elimination. The input and the output sides were also electrically isolated using opto-coupler. The conditioned output signals from the all the sensors were sent to the XADC through two channels in Time division multiplexed form. This time division was controlled by three select signals. Worked with LDO,voltage regulators,Op-amps,Opto-couplers,Analog Multiplexer,ADC,F-V Converter etc..
  • II.Digital Hardware Design using Hardware Description Language (VHDL, VIVADO IP Integrator):
  • 1. Designed an Intellectual Property (IP) for generating a Pulse Width Modulated select signal to control the power supply voltage of CO gas sensor as required.
  • 2. Configured the XADC and made it available for the simultaneous sampling of signal through two available channels.
  • 3. Configured AXI GPIO to transfer a bit of data as control signal generated by Programmable Logic (PL) of Zynq-7000 to the Processing System (PS) of Zynq-7000 to implement Sample and hold function for CO sensor.
  • 4.Interfaced the OLED display panel with the Zynq processing system.
  • III.Software Development Kit : Designed a software platforms and applications targeting Xilinx Zynq-7000 embedded processors. This application worked with hardware designs created using Vivado to read the 16 bit digital values of
  • measured analog voltage from the XADC status register and then calibrated it to the desired units, read the data from the
  • AXI GPIO and implemented Sample and hold function, displayed the calibrated values of the reading from the sensors on
  • the OLED display of the ZedBoard and sent the same through the Serial communication port.
