• Designed and built a payments processing system to be used by all business models at Booking.com
• Provided support for over 180 countries and currencies with the help of multiple PSP integrations (Adyen, Stripe, Ingenico, AliPay, SAP etc)
• Architected the system to be highly available and fault tolerant which is capable of handling very high volume of transactions
• Performed capacity and stress testing to ensure capability of 40 million transactions per day.
• Helped achieve compliance with EU PSD2 - SCA, 3DS 2.0 and also regulatory PCI compliance audits and resilience

• Improved the development environment of Booking.com from an ad hoc cron-job based VM management system to a smooth centralized process using OpenNebula for 1800+ developers working with 15000+ virtual machines. Employed the usage of Python for several scripting operations and used Puppet for configuration of bare-metal host machines.

• Introduced CI and CD to the deployment pipeline with the help of Jenkins and AWS CodeDeploy.

• Set up Nagios for monitoring and alerting on system level metrics for all servers.
• 2. Business related backend projects – Improved SEO performance hence generating a 20% month on month growth of visits to the website via SEO.
