A multitasking, dynamic, and result-oriented undergraduate student of Human Anatomy with a deep passion for biomedicine and its potential to improve human lives. Through my coursework in Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Biostatistics, Pathology, Research Methods, Human genetics and more, Basil Amaechi Alisa have developed a foundation in understanding the structure and function of the human body, as it relates to health, disease and medical treatment. Beyond academics, I continue to learn and grow through different roles: • Leadership:I served as a Class Representative, advocating for students’ interests, managing class activities, and supporting effective communication in the Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology. • Volunteerism: As a La Plage Meta Verse volunteer, I managed a WhatsApp learning groups of over 500+ members, onboarded new students, provided coaching and mentoring, and assisted my training facilitator in course delivery. • Community Engagement & Events: Actively participate in medical outreaches, offering health education and basic healthcare to underserved communities, and attend departmental and faculty events that enhance teamwork, networking, and professional growth. • Laboratory Assistant: I support my Histology Lab technologist in the histology lab, gaining hands on experience in histological tissue processing- fixation, dehydration, clearing, embedding, sectioning mounting, and staining. • Clinical Training: Currently on Industrial Training (IT) with exposure to Internal Medicine (EEG, ECG, Spirometry), also Anaesthesia, Radiology, and Histopathology. • Peer Learning: Engage in group reading sessions with peers to enhance understanding, teamwork, and collaborative learning. • Entrepreneurship: As a self-employed student, I work as a CAC registration agent, manage a laundry and dry-cleaning business, and create graphic designs, strengthening my multitasking, creativity, and time management skills. •Awards and Recognition: - Renewal Scholarship (2024) from my community to support my studies. - Award of Excellence (2025) as Innovative Personality of the Year by the Anatomical Students’ Society of Nigeria, Southeast Zone. As a motivated and aspiring Anatomist, I aim to build a career in biomedical science, contributing to research, innovation, and improved healthcare outcomes. I am open to mentorship, collaborations, research opportunities, and volunteer roles that will help me grow into a competent and impactful biomedical professional.
