About

Hi! I'm Bek! I’m an author with Penguin Random House, a Copywriter, and a global marketing strategist with a passion for stories that move people and make meaning. Over the past eight years, I’ve lived, worked, and travelled across the world, from the UAE to the US, Asia, Europe, and Africa, shaping a career built on autonomy, creativity, and connection. I was raised with minimal education, isolated in an abusive religious cult, where silence was survival and obedience was expected. Everything I know about power, identity, and belief comes from unlearning those narratives and reclaiming what it means to be a woman on my own terms. My debut memoir, Can You Handle a Girl Like Me? (out July 2026 with Penguin Random House), explores these themes through the lens of survival, freedom, and unapologetic selfhood. Professionally, I’ve worked with both global brands and grassroots organisations, creating strategies and stories that spark conversation, challenge norms, and create real impact. Personally, I’m driven by a deep commitment to amplifying voices that are too often dismissed or unheard. I live globally, but when I’m in Australia, I’m grateful to live on Gadigal Country (Sydney), land cared for by the world’s oldest continuous culture. Always was, always will be - Aboriginal land.

  • I’m the author of Can You Handle A Girl Like Me? My book explores what it means to rebuild a life after an earth-shattering rupture. I write about navigating the world in my thirties with very little experience of ordinary relationships, learning how friendship, dating and autonomy work when you’ve grown up without those frameworks. Growing up inside a high-control environment also profoundly shaped the lens through which I now see the world. Through writing, I explore how belief systems shape identity, how power operates inside communities, and what it takes to reclaim voice, curiosity and independence after years of being told not to ask questions.
