About

With over 25 years of experience in network security and information security, I specialize in Threat Hunting that discovers unknown threats not found by traditional security monitoring or threat intelligence solutions. I have a proven track record of uncovering previously unseen cybersecurity risks and creatively architecting solutions. I have interrupted malicious traffic, monitored hundreds of botnets and tens of thousands of infected endpoints, and initiated changes in networks and architecture in response to various attacks. I have also contributed to Verizon's risk management and threat intelligence team, and participated in and advised on many cybersecurity, technology, and IoT projects and initiatives. I hold the CISSP and CISM certifications, and have completed various coursework in cybersecurity, reverse engineering malware, and testing critical controls. I am also a LinkedIn Top 5 Cybersecurity Influencer and a Global Top 10 Cybersecurity Speaker, have been an Advisory Board Member for LexisNexis Fraud Defense Network and Mastercard Masters Collective. In the process of working as an advisor for both startups and companies that have already gone public. I started publicly announcing in presentations worldwide in 2018 that cybersecurity offense and defense will become a battle of AI vs. AI and all need to start preparing. I have presented and set on expert panels worldwide North America, EU, UK. I presented twice at the IMF (International Monetary Fund) in front of 190 countries. The second time I was opening keynote. Presented at an all EU conference in Dublin Ireland. I also set on an expert panel at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas. I have been nominated to be on MIT Technology Review Board.
