SARAL is a comprehensive system capable of locating stranded migrants in other cities, classifying them as per their profession/skills for their rehabilitation, and their consequent surveillance. It also enables GIS (Geographical Information System) based mapping of government infrastructure like schools, health care centres, food distribution centres and police stations to aid in the decision-making process.
The mapping of Covid-19 buffer and containment zones was also done along with their demographic analysis. I also helped develop a Quarantine Management System to digitally monitor and manage the home quarantine of migrants arriving from red zones and containment zones.
Towards the end of lockdown period, I was also involved in the development of a job portal – ‘KAAMGAAR’ to facilitate the accommodation of the 13000+ skilled and unskilled migrant workforce within Bokaro district.
