About

The recruitment system is broken. Job boards haven’t changed in 20 years. They’re outdated, impersonal, and frustrating for both candidates and employers. As a candidate, you’re competing with hundreds of others for roles that often don’t even exist. You get bombarded by recruiters sending irrelevant roles and rarely hear back after sending applications. For employers, it’s no better. You pay recruiters thousands of pounds for candidates who don’t fit, spend hours sifting through irrelevant CVs, and waste time on interviews that lead nowhere. I know these frustrations because I’ve been there. I left school without much career advice, not knowing what to do. I found myself in construction, where I worked hard and built a career I was proud of. Eventually, I transitioned into lecturing at Manchester College, where I discovered a passion for helping others achieve their goals. From there, I opened a training centre, upskilling people for careers in companies like Siemens, OVO, and Octopus. It grew quickly — 75 staff, three locations, and recognition as Training Provider of the Year with an Outstanding OFSTED rating. After seven years, I sold the business, but I wasn’t ready to stop there. I started Career Street to solve the problems I’d seen firsthand in recruitment. It’s a video-based platform designed to make hiring more human: - Video profiles - Fun and accessible - 100% authentic jobs - Smart Matching technology With Career Street, there are: - No wasted interviews - No paying crazy recruitment fees - No sifting through AI-generated CVs Recruitment shouldn’t feel like a chore. It’s about connecting the right people with the right opportunities. That’s what we’re here to do. Want to see how Career Street works? → Send me a message, and I’ll show you.
