• Built Chrome browser add-ins using JavaScript for our ticket buyers; enhanced 3rd party websites like Ticketmaster and Live Nation for faster and more informed ticket purchases
• Development, planning, and algorithm-writing to increase sales by automatically repricing inventory of entertainment tickets listed on StubHub and Vivid Seats using a custom in-house C# .NET cloud application. Continuous repricing of ticket inventory increased the percentage of total tickets sold prior to the concert date, which increased overall margins and reduced inventory risk.
• Successfully completed a gambling arbitrage that led to free rooms in Vegas nearly for life. While we made little money on the arbitrage's positive carry, the goal was not the money. It was the volume of play that led to the highest roller status, and helped me get free rooms in nearly all Las Vegas casinos for the last 7 years.

• After nine years at Q Investments, I stepped away from finance to become a stay-at-home dad to my two kids, Wyatt and Colleen. It wasn't a career strategy or a calculated move - I simply wanted to spend time with my children during these formative years, and had the money to do it.
• The highlight of this chapter was our 50-state road trip completed in a single year. What began as a smaller western states journey in 2018 evolved into a family adventure across America. From driving the California coastline to watching winter descend in Alaska, from catching trout in mountain streams to celebrating on beaches in Hawaii - we experienced the full geographic and cultural diversity of our country. My kids were 5 and 7 at the time, learning geography not from textbooks but from the road beneath our wheels.
• Looking back, this time offered unexpected insights. I discovered that motels beat hotels for practical family travel, that regional food gems are often found in modest establishments, and that the "expensive" option rarely offers the best value. My "30-cent cheeseburger theory" about pricing and expectations emerged from these travels. But the most valuable lesson was simpler: sometimes the most memorable moment of an elaborate journey is just having a hot dog with your kids outside Pensacola.

• At age 7, I became the youngest person to pilot an aircraft across the United States, flying from San Diego, California to Kitty Hawk, North Carolina over nine days. With flight instructor Stuart Moon, I piloted a red Cessna 172. The journey culminated on June 3, 1991, a day before my 8th birthday.
• This achievement opened doors to remarkable experiences and encounters:
• Appeared on the David Letterman Show alongside actor Leslie Nielsen
• Met Senator Phil Graham of Texas in his Senate office
• Received a White House tour
• Witnessed a Space Shuttle Endeavor launch from a prime viewing location near Mission Control
• Served as Grand Marshal in a Disney parade
• Participated in interviews on national morning shows
• Experienced helicopter rides and hang gliding in the Outer Banks
• My brother Michael also piloted a plane, a Piper Saratoga, at age 9, alongside me.
• While the record and subsequent attention provided extraordinary opportunities for a child, they also offered early lessons about fame and public recognition. The experience of having 50 cameras in my face upon landing in San Antonio was overwhelming, teaching me that fame wasn't everything it appeared to be.
• These early interactions with media figures, politicians, and the public provided a unique perspective that has shaped my approach to achievements and recognition throughout my life. Some things are worth doing simple for the sake of doing them, and for no other reason. And most of all, I received at a young age a special gift that I aspire to give to everyone I meet: the belief that the right mindset places anything we want within reach.
