About

I'm Dave Anderson, the author of Scarlet Ink, a popular technology leadership newsletter. I spent more than 12 years at Amazon, moving from the lowest level development manager, to a Technology Director and GM. During the majority of those years, I was also a bar raiser and member of the bar raiser core leadership group (helping direct how the bar raiser program operates). At the beginning of the pandemic, I was asked to help Bezos Academy get started as their CTO. I spent a year at Bezos Academy building the Technology foundation for the school system, and hiring an excellent IT leadership team. I left the corporate world to pursue my passion for writing, and raising chickens.

  • A 60k+ subscriber weekly newsletter for the technology industry with advice on leadership, interviewing, and career growth.

That might be applying for a new challenging job, getting that next promotion, or changing careers. I'm excited to have the opportunity to write about how companies and people can achieve their goals.
