• I was the first Technology employee at Bezos Academy.
• Led the initial IT efforts to get Bezos Academy off the ground, including hardware for teachers, school connectivity, evaluating SAS products, and information security policies.

• My earliest memories of using a computer were playing Lode Runner on my parents Apple IIe. It was quite exciting to be hired into the Amazon Games organization.
• Our organization was responsible for publishing applications (The Amazon Games App), retail integrations (games and in-game content selling), identity for gamers (how gamers could share their accounts across games), and other experimental projects.

• I ran the Technology Organization for the Amazon Kids products. This included the Kids content subscription (FreeTime Unlimited), Retail integrations, and Kids applications on multiple devices, including Android, iOS, Fire Tablets, FireTV, eInk devices, and Alexa.

• Our Kids subscription is a content subscription which provides apps, books, audio books (from Audible), and videos for Kids. Combined with our applications, it provided a simple all-in-one platform for kids to use content safely.

• I currently run couple different areas for AWS EC2 Networking.
• EC2 Classic Data Plane - Many of EC2's largest customers run on the classic network (massive software-defined network). Our group improves performance & builds tools for these largest customers to run their businesses. Incredible scale.
• Network Health - This is a relatively new group to EC2 Networking. Our goal is to provide broad monitoring systems and improve the reliability of our various networking features which our customers use on the EC2 Network.
• EC2 Networking is growing, and I'm looking for managers and engineers to help figure out our long term plans/goals, and build some awesome software.

• I run the Delivery / Identity group for the Atlas product at Facebook. Our goal is to take advantage of the massive amounts of data available within Facebook (and other partners), and use that information to provide advertising solutions (serving, tracking, etc) to advertisers and publishers.
• My group is responsible for:
• 1) Ad Serving - High volume system capable of handling the connections between ad viewers, and our targeting system.
• 2) Ad Targeting - Offline and real time targeting based on machine learning, customer preferences, customer data, privacy protections, publisher specific data, advertiser private data, and more.
• 3) Real time bidding - Real time bidding system capable of leveraging Facebook data to bid on publisher ad placements.
• 4) Identity modeling - Creating the "off-facebook" identity model. How we will represent a "person" in today's online world.

• I run the Seller Central, MWS, Mobile and Notifications groups for the Amazon Marketplace. My groups are responsible for the following:
• 1. Sellercentral.amazon.com (and other country specific domains) platform, which is used by 3rd party merchants to run their businesses on Amazon.
• 2. MWS, Marketplace Web Services. Marketplace Web Services are used by developers to integrate directly with the Amazon Marketplace platform.
• 3. Mobile applications for Sellers. Our group is developing the first official Marketplace Mobile applications for Sellers. As Jeff says, "it's still day one".
• 4. Notifications (Email/SMS/UI/HTTP Push/Others) platform for Sellers, used to deliver critical updates in a timely manner.
• My group owns extremely high volume backend services, a software development platform used by teams across Amazon to build Seller tools, extensible mobile platforms, and UI best practices, common UI components and features used by various applications on the platform.
• I am additionally heavily involved in recruiting related activities (including university and industry hiring) for our department, and have run the availability and latency programs for the Sellers organization for multiple years.

My group owns extremely high volume backend services, a software development platform used by teams across Amazon to build Seller tools, and the UI Platform including best practices, common UI components and features (such as mobile device functionality) used by various applications on the platform.

• Development manager for a platform team responsible for payment instrument metadata storage, top secret data storage (Tokenization of payment instruments), as well as transactional foreign exchange (currency conversion).
• My responsibilities included general technical requirements gathering, architecture/design, payment instrument metadata usage best practices, top secret data storage and security, PCI audits, payment instrument industry standards, and all HR related tasks related to running a software development team.

• Engineer and later manager of a software development team. Owned end-to-end a number of the online websites for B2B publications. The general team focus was improving the customer experience of our websites, and decreasing the cost of migrating (and organizing) print publication materials online. Drove requirements, design, development, testing, rollout and support. As the development manager, ran all HR related activities (hiring, performance reviews).
