• Worked as part of a 12 member team to develop and maintain Java middleware and web applications for a leading Accounts Payable and Payment Automation platform in the US. Primary focus has been on the middleware component that provides integration to third-party accounting systems.
• Involved in gathering and analysing requirements for new features, and prototyping, designing, and developing a solution that meets the requirements.
• Possess hands-on experience in web services development and integration with third-party web services (REST and SOAP).
• Developed customisations for some accounting systems in order to expose data over web services to achieve integration when necessary.
• Involved in developing the related enhancements for Java web applications and reporting module when necessary.
• Maintenance of the middleware involved periodic analysis of production system and logs to monitor sync failures (which was automated later).
• Worked on debugging and fixing fair number of performance issues and bugs reported in production.
• This job experience has provided me with strong back-end development skills and extensive hands-on work experience with Core Java, web services, Database (Hibernate, Liquibase, MySQL), JSF web applications, Solr, and BIRT.
• The project followed agile methodology.
