• In 2007, co-founded Partner Intelligence as formal partner of Information Builders to provide clients with strategic BI advice, data warehousing, dashboard application development, and automated modernization of legacy BI applications. Partner Intelligence was a division of Partner Professional Solutions, which merged to become HCTec Partners and specialize in Healthcare IT services.
• Developed and executed consulting strategy, owned and drove the go-to-market plan, managed the practice and people, and participated in projects. Information Builders' Professional Services group named us their preferred modernization services provider. At an unexpected exit after 6 years, had scaled the niche practice to $2M and provided BI services to over thirty well-known firms.

• Funded by the National Science Foundation's Partnerships for Innovation, Cincinnati Creates Companies was a nine-month entrepreneurial program held at the University of Cincinnati.
• From 2004 through 2008, CCC sought to "identify and develop entrepreneurs capable of creating new start-up activity" around technology clusters such as biotechnology and software. In 2004, I was one of fifteen individuals selected out of about sixty applicants.
• I created an analytics application initially focused on the recruiting/consulting industry. The browser-based application allowed users to easily search concepts/keywords using natural language queries such as "Show me Midwest Programmers who know Python." The C-based software generated dynamic SQL to search for the results and generated dynamic HTML front-end to display results. In addition to showing facts, the software had inference capabilities as in: "Show me Manufacturers that MIGHT use Predictive Analytics Software."
• Of course, 2004 was slightly before emerging social media (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter) and the widespread adoption of smartphones (Apple iPhone was 2007) or tablets (not until 2010).
• At that time, a major investor stumbling block was how to acquire and maintain the social data. Today, the application might simply mine social networks and Big Data sources. My entity-relationship underlying data structure would today be easily recognized as "graph database" and RDF triplestores.
• Another issue in 2004 was the traditional on-premise software implementation. Now, it would just be a cloud subscription offering. Today, this could be a mobile offering instead of limiting it to the desktop browser. Utilizing a Siri-ish voice interface would also be useful.
• What a difference a few years makes for software and data storage!

• Led technical pre-sales team performing sales and implementation of robust enterprise BI/Analytics solutions throughout southern Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. We supported an award-winning sales team (consistent Quota Club winners), winning awards such as: Sales Rookie of the year, Sales Rep of the Year (twice), Largest New-Name Sale of the Year, and System Engineer of the Year.
• Led regional technical sales support consisting of discovery, RFPs, demos, POCs, architecture, installations, and application development services. Active in sales strategy and client-facing evangelism, performing technical pre-sales discovery, envisioning solution (infrastructure, data, and metadata), creating implementation plans, participating in POC engagements, performing executive presentations, and providing industry knowledge.
• To enhance client value, created methodology and software to automate the modernization of legacy reporting apps. Computerworld awarded my work with Laureate Honors for successfully automating a BI transformation at a Fortune 50 financial services firm and saving millions of dollars.
• In 2021, TIBCO acquired IBI. In 2022, TIBCO merged with Citrix Systems as Computer Software Group.

• For consulting services subsidiary of Xerox Corporation, responsible for selling, delivering, managing regional software services. Led several practice group managers with teams of sales representatives, architects, and developers (approximately 20 people).
• For custom solution offerings, I implemented a holistic RUP/Agile app dev methodology with matching organizational structure. I hired, trained, and managed technical individuals in multiple geographic locations.
• Xerox recognized me with their President’s “Outstanding Performer” award.

• For Cincom Systems, a global software vendor, responsible for U.S. post-sales services of ERP manufacturing and financial systems. Hired, trained, and managed about 30 technical individuals with diverse backgrounds and geographic locations. Led several practice group managers for Business Intelligence, data conversions, systems integration, enhancements, and new application development.
• To speed implementation and provide competitive advantage, created methodology and software to automate ERP data loading. We used this at client sites across the United States as well as in Europe.

• For healthcare IT consulting start-up, responsible for selling technical consulting services at CIO/VP level at large healthcare systems in seven-state region in the Midwest United States. We specialized in HIS from McKessonHBOC and Meditech. Within one year, won five new-name healthcare accounts and developed new business with four existing clients. Exceeded sales quota. Worked vendor booths at HIMSS and HealthQuest conferences. Firm was acquired by CTG Healthcare.
